Inshore Weekly update 5/7/2023

 

 

The bass bite died down and the bluefish bite broke wide open. There are a lot of different fish I like to pursue. Catching big bluefish on top water plugs are in my top 3. I'm amazed at how many places from Moriches inlet to Fire Island Inlet are holding these big brutes. Don't expect for the birds to guide you to them. You need to keep casting and reeling. Most days I'm in 2' of water.
